About Kuala Lumpur Forest Eco Park

Kuala Lumpur Forest Eco Park

Kuala Lumpur Forest Eco Park, formerly known as Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, is a 9.37-hectare tropical rainforest located in the city center of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is one of the oldest forest reserves in the country, dating back to 1906, and serves as a vital green lung for the bustling metropolis. The park is known for its biodiversity, housing numerous species of flora and fauna, including the iconic meranti and keruing trees. Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, predominantly focused on exploring the jungle trails and experiencing the famous canopy walkway. Despite its location amidst skyscrapers, the park offers a refreshing retreat with its educational nature trails, informative signage about the local wildlife, and a dedicated herbal garden showcasing traditional medicinal plants. The Kuala Lumpur Tower, located adjacent to the park, offers a unique juxtaposition of nature and urban development. This blend of city and sanctuary provides a rare opportunity to observe wildlife such as macaques and squirrels in their natural habitat within an urban environment.
